Why did you start taking Spinning® classes?
My first Spinning® class was back in 1999 in Melbourne , Australia, an unforgettable positive experience! Loved it!
What inspired you to become a Certified Spinning® Instructor and then a Master Instructor?
I fell in love with Spinning from day one. The benefits I gained from doing Spinning inspired me to help and educate others about Spinning, and hopefully, also inspire others about my passion .
What do you love about teaching Spinning® classes?
I love seeing the smiles and frowns on the faces of my participants during the classes , the determination and commitment they have, and the satisfaction and sense of achievement they go through during and after classes. It is a big priviledge to be able to share and travel with people on their fitness journeys and to work together with them to achieve a goal!
What are your top three favorite songs to play during your Spinning® classes and why?
- “Pray” by Tina Cousins
- “In Your Mind” by Dr Kreator
- “All The People in the World” by SafriDuo
All three songs are inspirational with a good beat!
What makes Spinning® such a great workout?
The Spinning program changes people’s lives. To be able to experience both physical and mental challenges and grow from these challenges makes Spinning an awesome experience. The amazing thing about a Spinning class is that everyone sets their own goals and targets, listens to the same songs and is taught by the same instructor at the same time. However, each individual will have a totally different experience within themselves.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a Certified Spinning® Instructor?
If you are already thinking about it, do it!
What’s one of your favorite motivational quotes?
The four “Cs” in my life – Choice, Commit , Challenge and Change. One needs to Commit to making Choices to always Challenge oneself, so that one can Change for the better.
Do you have a hero in the Spinning® community, someone who deserves recognition for their leadership?
Natashia Iocovelli, she was the MI who trained me to become a Spinning instructor. She is just an awesome person! She’s an inspiration to many people, especially to women.
Is there anything about you that would surprise people?
I’m inherently a very shy person. Most people say “No way!” when I tell them this. I’m a totally different person when I’m not up on stage instructing.
