What makes Spinning® such a great workout?

It can meet you wherever you are each and every day—we are different every day and bring something unique into that room for every ride. Spinning will just enhance where you are and support what you need.

What inspired you to become a Certified Spinning Instructor and then a Master Instructor?

My desire to become a Master Instructor was partly because I was ready to move my own professional career to another level and being an education provider was that next step. I chose Spinning because I loved everything about it and felt at home teaching it. In order to work for a fitness company, you need to believe in the product and I was a true believer. I had had such amazing experiences at the WSSC Conference that I had to be a part of this community.

What do you love about teaching Spinning classes?

I love being a coach and when I am in that room, I am able to provide a safe space and opportunity for people to discover more about themselves. Coming from a person who needed the hard core physical aspect of fitness, I love how my journey with Spinning taught me how internal fitness could be and the importance of putting mindfulness into everything you do. I love the energy in the room, I love the exhilaration during and after a ride and I love that we become a community in that room just by sharing the experience and the love, not because we are dependent on each other for the workout.

When someone comes up to me and tells me that they got lost in the ride and were able to move beyond where they were when they came in, that is Spinning, that is why I get in front of the room and teach.

Tami joined the Spinning Master Instructor team in 2005 and is also an ACE certified personal trainer, AFAA Group Exercise instructor and personal trainer, Registered Yoga teacher E500-RYT, Ugi® MI, CrossCore® MI, Barre Above® MI, certified Health and Wellness Coach, Fitness and Nutrition specialist and has a Masters of Science in Professional Leadership.
